Duffy assembly

LI: To understand how reading can change one's life.

Today we had Marc from Duffy come and talk to us about the importance of reading and how reading can make a big impact on your life.  Although Marc had some challenges in his life he used reading as a tool to get through the hard times.  Marc believes that there is only CANs and not CAN’Ts.I found this activity fun because I got to learn the history. 

Duffy Books in Schools

Today LS2 got two books each from Duffy Books in Schools. My books were Captain Underpants and the Bad Guys. I like both of the books because I have read other books by these authors and I really enjoyed them. I'm looking forward to reading Bad Guys because I want to find out what adventures they go on in this story. Thank you Duffy Books in Schools for the books for all the PBS kids.

Duffy role model

Today we had Duffy role model.In the Duffy role model we were intros to Jamie Wall.Jamie Wall lived in Wellington and he works for L Maori, Radio,new stub and Stuff.And he gets to go around the world.He can go and watch the All Black,Warriors,UFC,Boxing,Cricket,Super Rugby and Fifawc.
And the places he went to was Japan,Italy,Argentina,France,England,Ireland and Australia.And Jamie Wall has a book called Men in Black and in that book is all of the games that the All blacks played.And Jamie's Wall made a book of his own it is called Brothers in black.We don't no about the book yest but i think we will no soon.

Duffy

Today we the school went to the hall to have a Duffy assembly, we were visited by Robert Rakete/The brown wiggle, and a main freight worker named Ollie. They give as the class books.

 Ollie  he is a friend of Robbie Rakete. and  Robbie Rakete made a song from the wiggles.
