RWC Players

In this activity for the RWC we had to search to find out the positions for these rugby players and also find out there caps and age. A cap is a try and most of the of the players have a lot.

World Time's

LI: apply inquiry, literacy and numeracy skills to learn about the rugby world cup.

This week we are doing a RWC (rugby world cup) challenge, We are using our skills we have learned this year so far. This includes numeracy,literacy and inquiry. Our first numeracy task was world time,we basically had to search what JST (japan standard time) to New zealand time and to other countries. The countries on the table show what time in the world the will world cup final will happen.

AM means ante meridiem, that means before midday like 12:00, post meridiem which means after 12:00. Massive countries like Russia have different time zones unlike small countries like Fiji that has a uniform timezone (uniform timezone means the same time).

Rube Goldberg machine

LI:To make a working Rube Goldberg machine with the 6 simple machines.

This week for inquiry we had to make shore that are Rube Goldberg machines work. The challenge was to make shore that your machine will work.The simple machines that i was using was the putter we had to had to try and get the tennis ball into the goal by using are machine.To make are machine we yest,domino's,a balloon,a yo-yo,a putter and a tennis ball.     

What i will do differently

If i was to change it differently i would  get a hand ball and put pins all around it.

In my team there was Te Raumati,Leon,Leitu and Marcaiyla.

Swimming

This week for kiwi sport we meat a women called Madden.And she made as do two laps of are backstroke as we kick fast so we can finish.and then we had a race we had to get into groups of 3 so we got into groups of 3 but my group had 4 people in it so we just left it.So the 1 prison who won the race was Afatia the 2 one was Fau and the 3 one was Makaili so they all race to the plat form and Makaili one the race.

maths

This week for maths we did bomb gird again and we did the 5/5 again and we did 6/6.When we finish we had a choice to do Pencilcode.net or just blog your work.

Kiwi can

LI:to cope with challenges.This week we learnt how to face  our challenges and experience/attempt them.We looked at 3 different types of challenges and wrote about our feelings when we face those challenges.We figured out coping strategies in groups of three.

Swimming

This week for swimming we had a new person teaching us so we first did are streamline line and did it until we did it right.After that we back stroke and we had to high five the coach and jump out and get changed.

Today for my SSR selfie i read a book called kinghts of the lunch table.The book is about a kid that just stared a new school and he meets two people called Kozlowskl and a kid that has a spider.

 

Writing

Maths

This week for maths we did bomb grid.For bomb grid we had to find the right path to the finish.And we had to use arrows to point the right way.Well we are moving the arrows we had to writ sentences to explain the right path.And we had to rotate 1/4 or 90" clockwise or anticlockwise.So we slide,up,down,left,right.

This week for reading we had to make a copy of this slide.In this slide we had to read a book called Zapped.In this book there were two twins that are building a robot out of a old toaster and a old hair dryer.And the two twins were called Ana and Tia.And then they saw there robot they thot that the robot was all good but the robot made a big miss so the two twins hid there robot and mum saw the miss and she said WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!.So the two twins had to clean up all the miss that Tidy-Bot made. And the robot is called Tidy-Bot         

Duffy role model

Today we had Duffy role model.In the Duffy role model we were intros to Jamie Wall.Jamie Wall lived in Wellington and he works for L Maori, Radio,new stub and Stuff.And he gets to go around the world.He can go and watch the All Black,Warriors,UFC,Boxing,Cricket,Super Rugby and Fifawc.
And the places he went to was Japan,Italy,Argentina,France,England,Ireland and Australia.And Jamie Wall has a book called Men in Black and in that book is all of the games that the All blacks played.And Jamie's Wall made a book of his own it is called Brothers in black.We don't no about the book yest but i think we will no soon.
